Atlanta, Georgia – The Atlanta Pride Committee (APC) announced today that Rita Ora will perform at the 2012 Atlanta Pride Festival.

On the heels of recent announcements about the appearances of Andy Bell and Amy Ray during the event, the APC now reports, the addition of powerhouse vocalist, Rita Ora to the line up!  Ora’s performance, scheduled for Saturday, October 13th, has been madepossible through the Atlanta Pride Committee’s relationship with radio partner, Wild 105.7 & 96.7.

The British sensation will take a break from her supporting slots on Coldplay and DJ Fresh tours to perform for Atlanta Pride on Saturday evening.  Ora will bring her impressive vocals to the stage with a style and personality that is truly her own.  The buzzing performance is sure to include her US debut single, “How We Do (Party),” which is, according to her website, “An infectious pop-rock party anthem paired with her stunning vocals.”

APC Board Chair, Glen Paul Freedman said of the announcement, “We are so excited to add this amazing artist to our increasingly robust 2012 stage performances!  It is only through relationships like our partnership with Wild 105.7 & 96.7 that we are able to include an artist like Ora and still keep the festival free to everyone.”  Freedman continued, “We are confident that everyone will enjoy the line up we are putting together this year and hope to see Piedmont Park full of festival supporters having a great time!”

The entire 2012 line up is scheduled to be published in September. For information about Atlanta Pride, please visit:  www.atlantapride.org
