Atlanta, Georgia. – Today the Atlanta Pride Committee (APC) announced the Official Entertainment Lineup for the 2012 Pride Festival Weekend. Along with the parade, marketplace and a full weekend of festivities, the festival will once again feature two stages of entertainment.
“We are pleased to have the opportunity to bring some of our community’s most talented artists as well as nationally recognized Grammy-winning names to the Pride stage for 2012,” said APC Board Chair, Glen Paul Freedman. “People often ask how we choose our entertainment. We do our best to offer a little something for everyone over the course of the weekend. We certainly think we have accomplished that this year as the line up includes everything from pop and hip-hop to dance and country. ” Freedman added.
This year, the APC has several partners to thank for adding to the impressive line-up. Clear Channel’s WiLD (105.7 and 96.7 FM) is bringing white-hot talent to the Festival in the embodiment of Rita Ora. Local media partners, Project Q Atlanta and David Atlanta Magazine stepped up to secure the stunning stage-show of Andy Bell, best known as the voice of Erasure for the event. Freedman said of these relationships, “Atlanta Pride works very hard to establish and maintain great interactions in all aspects of the Festival. We are pleased to continue our great partnership with Clear Channel and specifically, WiLD and we are thrilled that our long-time media partners and friends at Project Q Atlanta and David Atlanta Magazine have taken our relationship to a whole new level this year.”
