2014 ATLANTA MEGHAN TRAINOR PERFORMANCE ANNOUNCED
Atlanta, Georgia. – The Atlanta Pride Committee (APC) is pleased to announce that hot new “All About That Bass” artist, Meghan Trainor, will be performing at the 2014 Atlanta Pride Festival! The performance is sponsored by Power 96.1.
Atlanta Pride Committee Executive Director, Buck Cooke, said of the announcement, “Meghan is certainly a rising star and ‘All About That Bass’ is a great song with a fun video and a positive message. Being comfortable in your body is a great lesson for everyone to learn, but I feel it is an especially powerful lesson in the LGBTQ community. I love it when we are able to feature artists as they are up-and-coming so that when they make it big, people can turn to their friends and say, ‘I saw them at Atlanta Pride!’”
About Trainor’s sponsored appearance, Cooke noted, “I want to express our gratitude to Power 96.1 for sponsoring Meghan’s performance. Because of their support, we are able to bring some of the best and brightest talent to our stage for our audience to enjoy for free.”
Cooke added, “It is exciting to have Meghan perform at the festival this year and we are thrilled to announce her as our first performer during our talent unveiling during these next few weeks.”
Trainer is a Massachusetts born award-winning artist, now based in Nashville, TN. She is currently working on her upcoming debut album with the likes of Kevin Kadish (Grammy-award winning producer/songwriter who has worked with the likes of Miley Cyrus and Jazon Mraz) to infuse hook-minded songcraft with an infectious sense of fun on this first offering. If “All About That Bass” is any indication of what the rest of the album is like, Atlanta Pride attendees are sure to be treated to hip-swinging, hand-clapping, instant smashes that will have everyone singing along in no time!
Trainer’s performance at the event is sponsored by Power 96.1. She is scheduled to perform on the Coca-Cola Stage on Saturday, October 11. For detailed show times, download the Atlanta Pride Mobile Application available for iPhone and Android users and visitatlantapride.org for the most up-to-date details on all of our performers. Atlanta Pride will also release additional talent announcements over the next few weeks and the full schedule and line-up will be published later in September.
