Atlanta, Georgia. – Today The Atlanta Pride Committee (APC) announced the details for the 2014 Commitment Ceremony, set to take place at the W Atlanta-Midtown hotel on Saturday, Oct 11 from 11a-Noon.
This is always a popular program within the Atlanta Pride Festival, and this year is shaping up to be no exception! The non-denomination ceremony gives couples that wish to do so, the opportunity to pledge their commitment to each other in front of friends and family.
Atlanta Pride Committee Executive Director, Buck Cooke, said of the announcement, “Amid all of the hustle and bustle of the festival weekend, I love that there are couples who choose to exchange vows during Atlanta Pride at our annual Commitment Ceremony. Our host hotel, the W Atlanta Midtown, does an amazing job rolling out a grand welcome for the couples in their gorgeous Altitude ballroom on the 27th floor of the hotel, giving the couples beautiful views of Buckhead, Midtown, and downtown as they say ‘I do.’”
Cooke added, “We want to thank the W Atlanta Midtown, Seasons Sensations, Familiar Roots Photography, Burly Bakers, and DJ Pat Scott for sponsoring this event.”
To participate, couples need to register via the Atlanta Pride website at: http://atlantapride.org/event/atlanta-pride-commitment-ceremony/before the Oct. 1 deadline. New this year is that there will be no on-site registration; so registering in advance is key to be able to take part in this moving ceremony.
There are 2 registration levels available. It is $30/couple without a photo package and $90/couple if you wish to add the photo package.
